The Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs are also said to be very interested in Darvish, posting large amounts of money for the Japanese ace. Rumor has it that one team's bid is actually more than $50 million, meaning that if that team's bid is successful and the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters accept the post, the Fighters will get $50 million cash in exchange for Darvish, pending his agreement with the team to join.
