Chip Kelly Bucks the Bucs, Jim Tressel Considered for Colts

(L) Oregon head coach Chip Kelly, (R) Former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel
After a week of speculating and hints that Chip Kelly would join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, especially after Kelly stated that there was great appeal in going to the NFL (not having to deal with recruitment restrictions for example), Kelly decided to instead stay at the University of Oregon. Kelly cites having "unfinished business" at Oregon, obviously referring to failing to win the BCS National Championship last year. Kelly returns to Oregon amid a low level scandal of recruiting violations.

Jim Tressel, former head coach of (THE) Ohio State has been working with the Indianapolis Colts this season as a "special adviser." Now, Tressel has had 2 interviews for the position of head coach after the firing of Jim Caldwell. Caldwell's predecessor and current NBC football analyst Tony Dungy has publicly said that he would approve of a Tressel hiring. Dungy coached the Colts to their last Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears, becoming the first black head coach to win a Super Bowl and the 3rd person to win 2 Super Bowls as a player (XIII) and then as coach (XLI).
