Prince Fielder has just signed a 9-year, $214 million contract. Fielder, who is 27, has played for the Milwaukee Brewers since 2005. I really don't know what the hell is going on with baseball anymore. Why are these clubs so stupid as to sign players who are obese to lengthy contracts when they will be expected to play a position that involves little to no physical activity?


In other news, Tim Lincecum and the Giants have agreed to a 2-year, $40.5 million deal, securing the Giants pitching rotation for at least 2 years while GM Brian Sabean tries to salvage their hitters with both Carlos Beltran bailing after less than a season and World Series hero Cody Ross departing for the Boston Red Sox.
